Scream

Guy found it at HPB last night, and we watched it this aternoon. I'd forgotten how funny that movie is. Some great lines...

"My mom and dad are going to be so mad at me."
"Believe me, I've never been so glad to be a virgin."
"Fuck you both." (Okay, it was funny based off of the situation.)
"How does it feel to be almost brutally butchered? How does it feel? People have a right to know!"
"If I'm right about this, I could save a man's life. Do you know what that would do for my book sales?"
"Oh, please don't kill me, Mr. Ghostface, I wanna be in the sequel!"
"Now that Billy tried to mutilate her, do you think Sidney would go out with me?"
(referring to horror movies) "They're all the same - some stupid killer stalking some big-breasted girl who can't act and is always running up the stairs when she should be running out the front door. It's insulting."
"There's always some stupid bullshit reason to kill your girlfriend. That's the beauty of it all!"
"The police are always off track with this shit! If they'd watch Prom Night, they'd save time! There's a formula to it. A very! Simple! Formula! EVERYBODY'S A SUSPECT!"

Heh. It's a great movie. Guy and I decided that eventually we're going to have a marathon of sorts, watching Scream, I Know What You Did Last Summer, and Scary Movie. It'll be fun. (-:

Heh, I saw that and immediately thought, "She's posting about Harry Potter without using a cut tag! She's going to be crucified!" And, seriously, it took me a couple minutes to figure out that you meant Half-Price Books, not Half-Blood Prince. This is what the Internet has done to me. I internalize acronyms for fandoms that aren't even *mine*.

lol - gotta love the internet. :-D

But you do have an excuse for that, and all. You don't live 10 minutes away from a giant HPB, so don't have cause to associate that acronym with it. Naturally, your mind assumes the most familiar meaning that's relevant to the world immediately around you. *nodnodnod*

Personally, I much prefer HP6 as an acronym for the book, though. (-;

I'd prefer that too, since it too me ages to figure out what HBP stood for anyway. (Seeing as I was resisting knowing any more about Harry Potter than I absolutely had to. Now I've had to learn the name of the 6th book, which annoys me no end.) Too bad nobody listened to us.
